Ryker Cole Bingham

Chandler and Carson on the way home from Lagoon.
Benjamin having fun in the sand and water, on a not so warm day in June.

This was the most recent taken last night after a bath. If only you could smell the sweet thing. Yum, yum. I love baby smell, especially straight out of the tub. Do you like the chub?

This is on his blessing day. Already almost a month ago.
He is growing and sometimes i don't even realize it.

I Finally Blogged

I sat down a couple of days ago to get a recipe online and it led to looking at a few blogs. I was thinking about updating mine (forgetting I needed to be cooking dinner, the real reason I sat down at the computer). Then my cute little Benjamin came in my room where I was sitting and showed me the moon sand that he was playing with. It was dumped on a microwave splash gaurd that had holes all over it and now was all over my carpet. So I quickly checked out the rest of the house and decided to take some pictures of the mess I was in and why I should never read blogs, let alone update my own. Enjoy the pics, kind of embarrasing but worthy to post in explanation of updating my blog so frequent.

He climbed up the fridge to the very top cabinet to get the moon sand. I'm not sure how he did it, the stool helped but still doesn't make him tall enough. The other boys were with me so I can't blame them.

You cant see it but the moon sand was all over laundry that I should have been folding.
Dishes from the day that I should have been doing. After laughing for a bit at my mess, and feeling much better when the boys and I cleaned up and had dinner cooking, I realized that this would be a perfect blog for us. The chaos of our daily life.
For your information, I have heard a lot of screaming and crying, peeled an orange, made some chocolate milk, taken away two different knifes from Benjamin, yelled a few times, answered a few phone calls, almost gave up, but still finished this blog. That feels pretty good to accomplish something you have started. Now Benji is asking for some ice cream (it must be dinner time).

For all "moms"

I came across this story today and thought of many that would appreciate it, so I decided to post it. I first have to say that I love staying at home, and am so glad I can do it. It is hard but I wouldn't want it any other way. Ryan is so great to take care of everything else so I can stay at home and focus on being "mom".

A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog.

Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall.In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.

As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went.

He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"

She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?"

"Yes," was his incredulous reply.

She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."

Hats off to all the"moms" out there. Thanks mom for all the many messes and headaches I gave you.

Not Ready for Winter

Today officially ended Chandler and Carson's football season, and it was quite a way to go out; wind, snow, rain and not a degree over 34. Both boys had a fun time this season, Chandler led his team as quarter back, while Carson played both as receiver and center for his older brother. It was a new experience for Chandler, who is very shy, to be in a position where he would tell the other players how to run the next play. So with 1 season under their belts, Chandler is ready for grid kid next year and for Carson, he is thinking that he wants to stick with motorbiking.

Last weekend was our annual cattle drive where we move cattle, for my grandpa, from Kilgore back to the desert. Once again the weather left us outside in the cold and rain. However, all wasn't lost and we were able to get in a motorbike ride and a trip to big springs before the weather settled in.

I can't wrap up this session without a few pictures of the boys actually doing work around the house (I know, it probably will cost me but I'm good with it), and a hard rockin night of guitar hereo. So take care all, and hopefully we'll get to chat with you later.
